SPED 9000 - Research in Special Education

This course is designed to introduce teachers and educators to the basic research designs and methods used in special education. Students will learn to critically analyze the research literature and will write critiques of current articles in the field. Students will also be required to conceptualize a study based on their interests and propose procedures for implementing it. The goal of the course is to help educators use empirical studies presented in the literature to improve their practice and to participate in research and evaluation projects in their professional settings.
