PHIL 2500 - Contemporary Ethical Problems

This course examines the nature of values and morality. Ethical theory will be applied to such controversial moral issues as criminal punishment and the death penalty, abortion, euthanasia and suicide, privacy, the ethical treatment of animals, environmental ethics, poverty and the distribution of wealth, prejudice and discrimination, affirmative action, civil disobedience, and war.
