HIST 3040 - America in the Nuclear Era: 1945-1968


3 cr. 3 hr. Offered every other year.

This course will cover United States history from 1945 to 1968 and focus on developments in politics, culture, international affairs, and the economy. Topics will include the rise of suburbia, the politics of the welfare state, the grassroots civil rights movement and feminism, and the influence of Cold War tensions, television, and economic prosperity on American life.
