PSY 7020 - Group Dynamics 3 cr. This course explores the cognitive, affective and behavioral processes within the context of groups. Part one of the course is experientially based and requires students to participate in an actual group process. Part two provides an analysis of group dynamics, including an examination of the experiential component. Course emphasis is on the experiential and theoretical bases of group dynamics with the development of participant intra- and interpersonal awareness.
Performance in this course is part of the pre-candidacy screening process for matriculation into the graduate program in counseling. Prerequisite(s): PSY 1100.
