PHS 4050 - Public Health Strategies

3 cr. 3 hr. Offered every other year

This course provides an examination of public health theory. It addresses public health planning and response from various perspectives, including public health infrastructure, communication, and health policy and legislation. The course applies theory-based concepts and methods of health promotion interventions, as well as program planning frameworks and needs assessments. Consideration of cultural, ethical and social factors during program planning are also discussed.
