ENGL 3890 - Creative Nonfiction Writing

3 cr. 3 hr. Day course offered every Semester.

This course investigates the stylistic, social, persuasive, and literary dimensions of creative nonfiction. Students read and discuss contemporary nonfiction and gain experience writing in its various sub-genres, which may include memoir, biography, essays, and literary journalism. Students hone strong writing through workshops, critiques, and revision and reflect on their development as a writer all while compiling portfolios of their work in the course. AIA
