ENGL 3045 - Media Conscious Storytelling

3 cr. 3 hr. Offered every second semester.

Not all literature is printed in a book. Some are performed or visually and sonically designed, others tattooed or crafted, and still more are programmed. This creative writing workshop course introduces students to digital and digitally inspired literature that build on conventions beyond the printed book. Students read and discuss electronic literature, hypertext, artists’ books, mobile literature, multimedia literary texts, interactive fiction, and cross-media adaptations. Students then write and workshop original creative projects for and with new media. AIA, IHIP
