MATH 3003 - Advanced Statistics 3 cr. 3 hr. Offered every other year
This course is a natural extension to an introductory statistics course. Topics covered will include regression (and least square analysis), parameter estimation and confidence intervals, simulation of discrete and continuous distributions using Monte Carlo methods, Markov Chains, Bayesian analysis, analysis of variance and simulation. The course will employ statistical software to explore the listed topics. PL, AIA
Prerequisite(s): MATH 1700 or MATH 1800 or MATH 2800 or equivalent knowledge and MATH 2200 or MATH 2300
