PSY 2020 - Professional Orientation to Psychological Science

3 cr. 3 hr. Offered every fall semester

This course is designed to provide students with an overview of the Psychological Science major, skills and resources needed to be successful within the major/career, and career options for majors. Topics will include the Psychological Science major requirements, critical and scientific thinking, locating and interpreting scientific sources of information, scientific writing and APA-style, ethics and professionalism, subfields and career opportunities in psychology, and developing a career plan.
