ART 2215 - A Cultural History of Nature 3 cr. 3 hr. Offered every other year
In this course, students will explore a global range of cultural artifacts representing the natural world, from prehistory to the present day, and will consider how these works shape human interactions with nature. The important role of contemporary art in transforming the human/nature relationship in the face of climate change and ecosystem collapse will be emphasized.
