CSC 1100 - Computer Applications

This course introduces students to the most popular computer applications used across many disciplines. Students will complete a project applying these tools to a problem chosen from their discipline. Students will communicate their results in a final presentation. The topics currently studied are spreadsheets, databases and the integration of the two for more powerful applications. Cross-listed with BSAD 1700  

Prerequisite(s):  Adjusted high school GPA of 2.7 or higher (associated with a high school graduation no more than two years from semester of enrollment) OR passing score on Quantitative and Analytical Skills or Advanced Algebra and Functions Accuplacer placement exam OR successful completion of MATH 0300    [Quantitative Prep.] or MATH 0500  0  [Algebraic Prep.] OR successful completion of a credit bearing mathematics course

Note: Credit is not awarded for both BSAD 1700   and CSC 1100.
