SCED 2000 - Nutrition 3 Credit(s) Offered: every semester
The course involves an examination of nutrients in foods and their metabolic role in normal nutrition. Emphasis is on energy sources and utilization, vitamins and minerals, nutritional requirements in relation to the changing demands of life, and the effect of food handling and processing on the nutrient content of food. Course material is facilitated by lectures, discussions, and personal nutrition projects. Cross-listed with BIOL 1650
