ASL 2350 - Deaf Culture 3 Credit(s) Offered: every other Spring in even numbered years.
This course provides a historical and contemporary perspective of Deaf Culture using a socio-cultural model. Students examine Deaf Culture and make comparisons and contrasts with other cultures. Topics include communication, language, cultural identity and values, group norms, traditions and the world view of deaf people. Cross-listed with SOC 2350
Prerequisite(s): ASL 1000 , ASL 1050 , ASL 1100 , or permission of instructor.
