BIOL 3007 - Virology

This course introduces the study of viruses. Virus structure, classification, and replication strategies will be discussed. Infection of host cells, host immune responses, anti-viral drugs, and vaccine strategies will be examined. Viruses that infect humans will be emphasized. The use of viruses in biotechnology will also be discussed.
