Program Objectives

The minor in English Studies allows students of other disciplines to add a concentration in literature to their plan of study. The minor provides a wide range of courses in literature that enhance a student’s critical thinking and appreciation for the masters of the written word.

Requirements for the Minor in English Studies

ENGL 2999 - Approaches to English Studies 3 cr.

ONE American Literature 3 cr.

One literature elective 3 cr.

Global Diversity (GDA) 3 cr.
Global Diversity Non-Western (GDAN) 3 cr.
