Objectives for the International Studies Program

The minor in International Studies program provides students in all majors with the opportunity to examine international and interdisciplinary issues of globalization and communication, multicultural awareness and diversity, citizenship and the world, literature and the arts. These areas relate to international studies and their accompanying categories of courses described below that satisfy requirements of the Minor’s Program and in the Liberal Arts and Sciences Program. Requirements for the Minor in International Studies

The Minor in International Studies requires one of the two introductory courses and five other courses for a total of 18 semester hours from the following, some requiring prerequisites:

  2. Business and Economics
  3. Art, Music or Dance
  4. Language, Literature, Culture or Sociology
