Objectives for the Program in Romance Languages
This program in Romance languages offers students the opportunity to incorporate knowledge of Italian, Spanish and French languages and culture into their program of studies. In our increasingly global world, this may be particularly valuable.
In the Romance Language Minor, students will achieve an intermediate proficiency in one of the languages, and become acquainted with a second language. Students will also be exposed to literary, historical and artistic developments of the relative countries.

Requirements for the Minor in Romance Languages
The Minor in Languages requires a minimum of 18 credits in two of the three Romance languages. 1000 level courses can be counted for only ONE of the languages. The student may enter the language sequence above the 1000 level by demonstrating his/her proficiency through testing, and permission of the instructor. Note:
No more than 6 transfer credits from a non-FSU program will be accepted as credit towards the minor. Transferred credits must have received a minimum grade of 2.0. Students must maintain a 2.5 grade point average in courses towards the minor to remain in the program. |
