Program Objectives

The Applied Communication Studies Certificate Program is designed to provide knowledge and skills for the effective development and management of communications media operations within business, industry, government, and health services.

Admissions Standards and Criteria

To apply for enrollment in the Applied Communication Studies Certificate Program, a student must submit documents as outlined in the graduate admissions section. The program seeks to serve qualified individuals with a B.S./B.A. or M.S./M.A. degree in Communications Media and/or other related disciplines.

  • MAT/GRE/GMAT exams not required

Certificate of Achievement

Students must complete the 15 credit hours of required course work in Applied Communication. These courses may be applied to the M.S. in Applied Communication, Social Media Studies concentration.
