BIOL 1750 - Human Genetics


Day course offered in the Spring. Also offered evenings.

Genetic information plays an ever-increasing role in our society especially as it applies to health related issues. This course is designed to introduce basic genetic concepts as they apply to humans. Topics will include classical, molecular and population genetics and will include a consideration of social and ethical issues. Laboratories are designed to introduce students to basic scientific techniques while emphasizing problem solving and data analysis.  This course is not open to majors or minors in Biology.
