ENGL 2210 - British Literature II: Pepys to Shelley 3 cr. 3 hr. Day course offered every Semester.
This course explores the changing form of English literature during the most tumultuous period of English history, encompassing the civil wars and leading up to the Industrial Revolution. Selections include writings by Aphra Behn, Dryden, Swift, Pope, Gay, Anne Finch, and Equiano in the Neo-classical age, and Wordsworth, Charlotte Smith, Coleridge, Shelley, Keats, Byron and Mary Shelley in the Romantic age are explored.
