ENGL 2720 - Reading Poetry

3 cr. 3 hr. Day course offered every Semester.

In this course, we will develop techniques to read, understand, perform and appreciate poetry. Through exposure to a wide variety of poetry, we will examine the mechanics of poetic form and also consider the function of poetry in the world, its future and the formation of personal identities through language. Prerequisite(s): ENGL 1100 and ENGL 1200 .
