CSC 4100 - Ethics and Impacts of Computing Solutions 3 cr. 3 hr. Offered every semester.
This course covers various ethical issues and global impacts that arise as a result of increasing use of computers in contemporary society. Topics include methodology, tools and frameworks for analysis of ethical issues in Computer Science, global and local impacts and ethical issues raised in networked communications, intellectual property rights, information privacy, computer and network security, computer reliability and the ethical responsibilities of computing professionals.
Prerequisite(s): Junior/Senior in CS/CIS major.
