PSY 2010 - Child Development


3 cr. 3 hr. Day course offered once a year. Also offered evenings.

This course examines the developing child from conception through the onset of adolescence. Changes in the physical, neurological, perceptual, cognitive, and psychosocial development will be explored. Major theoretical, empirical and methodological issues surrounding the study of child development will be balanced with considerations of the application of developmental science to real world childhood contexts. Prerequisite(s): PSY 1100  or PSY 1200
