GEOG 2006 - Water Resources and Society


3 cr. 3 hr. Offered every other year

This course provides an overview of global water resources and how society interacts with water. The course will first provide a basic understanding of the properties of water and how water moves throughout the hydrologic cycle on a local and global scale. The second part of the course will examine human relationships with water with specific areas of focus including, but not limited to, flooding, agricultural use of water, water scarcity, water law, conflicts over water resources, and water contamination.
