AAST 2670 - 20th Century African-American Literature

This course surveys the major periods, genres, and authors of African-American literature in the twentieth century. This course also connects African-American literature to the representation of Blacks in music, film, live performance, media and society in general. Representative authors include James Baldwin, Lorraine Hansberry, Amiri Baraka, and Toni Morrison. Cross-listed with ENGL 2670
