The Engineering Technology Department offers two degree programs and seven concentrations as follows:

  • Bachelor of Science in Applied Science & Technology (120 semester hours) with concentrations in Construction Management, Technology/Engineering Education 5-12 Licensure, Technology/Engineering Education Industry Training
     
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology (120 semester hours) with concentrations in Architecture, Electronics Engineering Technology, Energy Management Engineering Technology, and Manufacturing Engineering Technology

Applied Science & Technology Program (120 cr hrs)

The Applied Science & Technology Program focuses on the hands-on application, implementation and management of science and technology.  Students apply their learned competencies to manage processes and systems.  The program leads to a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Science & Technology (120 credit hours) with concentrations of study in Construction Management, Technology/Engineering Education 5-12 Licensure, and Technology/Engineering Education Industry Training.

Applied Science & Technology Program Objectives

Our mission is to develop individuals who are innovative and collaborative in problem solving, understand the inherent value of design, have high ethical standards, are skilled in communication, are cognizant of their responsibility for a sustainable future, and are responsive to change.

Applied Science & Technology Program Student Outcomes

Graduates of the program will have the following:

  1. An ability to identify, formulate, and solve broadly defined technical or scientific problems by applying knowledge of mathematics and science and/or technical topics to areas relevant to the discipline.
  2. An ability to formulate or design a system, process, procedure or program to meet desired needs.
  3.  An ability to develop and conduct experiments or test hypotheses, analyze and interpret data and use scientific judgment to draw conclusions.
  4. An ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
  5. An ability to understand ethical and professional responsibilities and the impact of technical and/or scientific solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts.
  6. An ability to function effectively on teams that establish goals, plan tasks, meet deadlines, and analyze risk and uncertainty.
