COMM 3510 - Audio Production for Film and Video

3 cr. 3 hr. Offered every other semester.

This course covers audio production basics, with an emphasis on developing best practices for production audio recording in both scripted and unscripted production environments, on set and in the field. Students will strengthen techniques in recording dialogue, Sound Effects, Foley, and Voiceover – and apply these skillsets creatively in course projects. By the end of the course, the student will be able to capture the highest quality audio for integration into film or video productions.

Prerequisite(s): COMM 3520 , COMM 3521 or COMM 3710 .
