MATH 2100 - Technical Calculus 3 cr. 3 hr. Day course offered in the Spring.
Technical Calculus covers topics, such as limit and continuity, which support the concept of a derivative or an instantaneous rate of change. After the study of Isaac Newton’s derivative, the limit definition of the derivative, and techniques of differentiation, Technical Calculus introduces applications of derivatives with special attention to building, planning and architecture. Credit is awarded for only one of MATH 2100 , MATH 2200 , or MATH 2300 . QR, SMT
Prerequisite(s):
a. An ‘advanced passing’ score on Advanced Algebra and Functions Accuplacer placement exam OR
b. a grade of 1.7 or higher in MATH 1300
