HMSV 3620 - Intervention in Human Services 3 cr. 3 hr. Offered every semester.
This course expands on Interviewing Techniques and supports learning in Assessment by providing practical experience in understanding and implementing intervention strategies. A special focus will be given to working with individuals and families, drawing from problem management approaches and addressing motivation-to-change issues in a generalist practice setting.
Prerequisite(s): HMSV 1100 : Introduction to Human Services, HMSV 2500 : Interviewing Techniques, and PSY 1200 Lifespan Development.
Pre-and/or-Co-requisite: HMSV 3610 : Assessment in Human Services (students will be required to complete Assessment prior to, or during the same semester as Intervention in Human Services).
